words by da- story telling

It was in March 2017 as a part of DAiL(DA innovation Labs), 2 youngsters in their early 20s came to us, they recently launched an app, and it was growing, they wanted a pitch deck for an upcoming funding event, their idea was interesting, but when I asked what are the ingredients you have to create the deck, they shared several emails, PDFs, research documents with us. It was all technical and data-driven, I asked them several questions, but all answers were either technical or the research base, the human touch was missing, and it was really tough for us to create a pitch deck through that information.

For 2 days, we went through brainstorming sessions, we asked them several questions, their journey, idea, the team, and even their personal life, created a mind map and we got what we wanted- The Story. We created a pitch deck in the next 5 days and finally, they got the funding.

More than an idea, it’s the story people buy, and carry with them. The same has been told in a wonderful way by Indranil Chakraborty (IC) in his book “Stories At Work”, a must-read.

Even the picture I clicked with the book has a story to tell if anyone decodes.
